AlMenbar - Umrah Rules and Procedure

By Royal decree, the Ministry of Haj, in Saudi Arabia, has issued Contracts to 350 Saudi Travel Agents to handle all the Umrah traffic into Saudi Arabia. AlMenbar is one of these select Agents.

These agents are responsible for selecting, appointing and developing relationships with local Contractors from different countries all over the world. The local Contractors are licensed to handling prospective pilgrims from their country of origin - our Licenced Contractors are qualified tor this.

Details of the new Rules are as follows:

- You are now able to visit any part of Saudi Arabia within the 14 days period (with conditions attached - see below)
- The rules restrict your stay in Saudi Arabia to 14 days maximum from the point of arrival until the point of departure.
- You will require to have medical insurance (Travel insurance is optional, but recommended)
- You may choose to stay with whomever you please, however, you will still be required to provide a confirmed hotel booking.
- Your relatives in Kingdom may arrange your hotel booking, however this booking shall have be confirmed by your local Licenced Contractors. This effectively means that stay outside of the confirmed hotel is not recognized.
- It shall be the responsibility of your local Licenced Contractors to accept the hotel booking.
- Your relatives shalll not be permitted to handle your visa processing directly.
- Your relatives can meet you at the airport or at your hotel when you arrive.

The new Procedure for you is relatively straightforward as follows:

- You shall enquire about your Umrah plans with our
- The Licensed Contractor shall be happy to quote you a Package price, upon your request.
- Once you agree on the Umrah package proposed, your passport details and travel plan will be sent to AlMenbar.
- Your Licenced Contractors will provide for you an Umrah Draft, made payable to AlMenbar.
- Your local Licensed Contractor will then apply for your Umrah visa from the local Saudi Embassy/ Consulate.
- Upon arrival in Jeddah, InshaAllah, you will be received by AlMenbar.
- We will take your airline tickets and copy/copies of your passport for safekeeping and transport you for start of your Umrah.
- We shall submit your paperwork to the Ministry of Haj.
- On the fourteenth day, we shall collect you from your hotel and drive you to the airport for your departure.
- You will be escorted to the appropriate Immigration desk and your airline ticket will be returned to you in preparation for your departure.
- We shall assist you with your checking-in and wish you a safe and pleasant flight, InshaAllah.

The following responsibilities apply:

- Whilst in Kingdom, AlMenbar shalll be responsible for your stay and for your health.
- In the unfortunate event you are taken ill, all medical attention will be arranged for by AlMenbar paid for via your essential medical cover.
- Should you expire, you shall either be sent home or be buried in Saudi Arabia - all arrangements shall be made by AlMenbar & your local Contractor.
- However, only you are responsible for the security and loss of your personal possessions.
- Please take the necessary precautions to ensure a pleasant and rewarding Umrah.
